PDC Spas

Construction

We use the finest raw materials to produce one of the strongest shells in the world, backed with a 35 year structural warranty. The finest acrylic sheet, Lucite brand Continuous Cast Acrylic, begins the molding process in a wide selection of high-gloss, marbleized, and textured finishes. This outer spa layer is the most durable, easiest to maintain, and scratch resistant surface available. Backed with multiple layers of hand-rolled fiberglass and non-filled resins, this age-old, tedious process is what makes PDC Spas so strong that they can actually stand on their own. Other companies rely on foam-cavities for additional reinforcement, but at PDC Spas we have proven that it is far better to engineer a solid thicker shell wall sustaining hundreds of pounds of water and spa users. Although this process is far more costly, PDC Spas can guarantee an exceptionally strong spa shell built for decades of warm water relaxation.

With over four decades dedicated to building the best spa value, PDC Spas adds detail to design to make your spa experience truly enjoyable. Once you lie back and relax, you'll wonder why you waited so long to add a spa to your daily routine.

Seating

Why choose a PDC Spa? Simple; quality, value and comfort. Our spas are incredibly comfortable as a result of countless hours that our design department has spent testing angles and forms which best complement the body’s slightly buoyant position when relaxing in warm swirling water.

Seats are slightly rounded to cradle your body, while contoured seat backs offer gentle lumbar support. Our Captains Chair, in the Bali and Fiji, feels like your favorite recliner, with massaging jet action from your neck to your toes. Our lounges surpass all others with a unique position that supports your legs, yet keeps your upper body resting effortlessly in the most natural lounging position. Soft pillows cushion your head, while the spacious foot area lets you stretch out leaving plenty of room for family and friends. After all, what good are the seats if there is no space for your feet?

Jetting

Relaxing in a PDC Spa is the ultimate in effective, natural relief for your tired body and frayed nerves. Thousands of air bubbles combine with warm water to caress the body parts that suffer the brunt of the day. Specifically selected jets are positioned at strategic body points offering healing therapy to shoulders, neck, back, legs; right down to the feet! It is proven that massaging the feet; known as reflexology, actually helps to relieve tension in other parts of the body.

Every PDC Spa model is equipped with an advanced therapeutic jet system offering  powerful jet action with unique calibration for your personal choice of deep or soft massage. You control the exact flow of water with the Ultra Massage Selector by diverting pump power to a selected zone of jets in your favorite seat.

Individual air controls adjust jet pressure with a precise mix of air and water. Many jets themselves are adjustable offering an amazing array of effective hydrotherapy options.

Performance

Pump power can be inflated by referring to the “peak” or “marketing” horsepower in an effort to inflate the pump performance. The “continuous duty” rating is the true measurement of the pumps operation. The continuous duty power of the jet pumps provide water flow which is measured in gallons per minute (GPM) It is this number you should be most concerned with as a true indication of your spa’s action. At PDC, our pumps are sized accordingly thereby providing the optimum GPM. Pump selection is based upon spa size and quantity of jets, which assures an effective, yet relaxing, therapeutic massage.

Filtration

The PDC pressure-side filtration system begins with the pump pulling spa water through safety suctions in the bottom of the spa, then forcing the used spa water with the pressure of the jet pump through the deep pleats of the filter cartridge where debris and contaminants are trapped. The result is clean, fresh water introduced back into your spa through the massaging jets. This unique design is far more effective than suction-side systems whereby dirty water may bypass the filtration altogether. With PDC Spas, all the water is filtered, all the time.

Maintenance

Each and every spa at PDC Spas is designed with you, the buyer, in mind. Not only is the hot tub efficient to operate with the exclusive patented TemperLOK system, but that same system has been designed to keep service quick and economical. Our spas are easy to install, easy to relocate, and simple to access the equipment, should your spa need service at some point.

All four sides of the cabinet are easily removed by simply removing four screws at the corners panels for dis-assembly. The RTB blanket is slit at each corner and designed to roll up, exposing the support components. This is a time-saver for service personnel, and a cost saver for the owner, as repair time is cut to the bare minimum. As opposed to a foam-filled spa, where it is necessary to chip away the foam to find a leak, etc., and one the repair is made the foam is gone! along with any insulation it had provided. With the PDC Spa design, simply roll down the RTB back in place, replace the cabinet sides and corners, and your spa is operational and insulated, just like it was the day of delivery.

You will notice a flush mounted hose bib on the lower portion of one of the cabinet side panels. This is easily pulled out to attach a garden hose for quick and easy emptying of your spa. This should be done at least once a year and as often as needed depending on your water quality. Take not of this location when positioning your spa at time of installation.

Available on all LX Series models, the ADVANTAGEPACK end cabinet option houses the plated support equipment and easily pulls away for inspection. This is a service man's dream!
